She’s a 1986 Kadey Krogen 42 with killer curves and a bottom that never ends.
We are Chris and Judy, we became the proud custodian of Salty Lady in late August of 2017. After a years worth of searching for a boat with the right pedigree we found her. The purchase was easy, but passing the vetting process of her previous owner was interesting. Remember the word pedigree? Her owners at the time cared for her as if she were their only child. They were looking for the same care and love from the new owner.
Age of course takes its toll on both we humans and our boats. Even with the best efforts, sometimes that age allows a lapse in maintenance. So the time came for her owner to pass her along. We strive to bring Salty Lady back into her best shape and and have her looking like a young and fit Salty Lady
We have tried to catalog each of the jobs, explaining what was needed and how we approached the project. By no means is it the only way nor possibly the best way. In fact there were many times when we wished we tried another approach. Chris has been a home improvement contractor and woodworker for the past 35+ years. Our past projects include restoring 3 boats. A classic 27′ 1954 Chris Craft followed by a 1956 Chris Craft Commander and lastly a 1982 34′ Mainship
Hopefully you, the reader, will appreciate the effort.
